The details

How the pilot works

Grades available: Three grade-band pilot editions today — Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Individual Grades 1–12 editions are in development, guided by pilot feedback.
Scope: Start as small as one sample unit with one teacher, or run a grade band across a semester — your school sets the pace.
Timeline: The current cohort is forming for the 2026–27 school year, matching Minnesota's full implementation of the 2021 Social Studies standards.
Cost: Review materials are provided at no cost to reviewing schools. Class-set pricing is discussed only if your school chooses to adopt.
Teacher orientation: A practical orientation session (in person or virtual) is included so teachers can start confidently.
What we ask in return: Candid feedback — what worked, what didn't, and what your students need. Educator direction shapes the remaining grade levels.
Student privacy: The materials are print-based. We collect no student data, and any classroom feedback is shared only with your permission.
No obligation: Piloting creates no purchase commitment, and your school may end participation at any time.
