Mustafa Siddiqui is a Minnesota educator, retired executive, and author of more than 90 books.
Biography
Mustafa Siddiqui is a Minnesota educator, author of more than 90 books, and grandfather of eight. He is the founder of Meaning First Learning™, an approach that helps students understand why a subject matters before teaching the what and the how.
A former community leader and frequent media guest, he writes and speaks about student motivation, lifelong learning, and the immigrant journey.
Mustafa Siddiqui is a Minnesota-based author, retired executive, and education advocate. The son of immigrants who wanted him to become a doctor, he grew up disliking school — not for lack of ability, but because no one explained why his lessons mattered.
After decades of professional life, raising a family, and traveling to more than sixty countries, he became a grandfather and heard his grandchildren ask the same question he once had: “Why do I need to learn this?” He set out to answer it, writing more than ninety student-friendly books and founding Meaning First Learning™.
Before this work, Mustafa was a frequent Minnesota media guest and community advocate who worked to promote understanding and help immigrant families become part of mainstream American society.
